Open Source Software for Secondary School Students

There are many Open Source software available for Education. However, are you curious to know which ones are appropriate for secondary school students? Dr. Piyarat (Puk) Khanthap, ICT Coordinator at KIS International School, will share her experience in teaching Open Source software to her students in various areas, such as Keyboarding Skills, Office Suite, Image Editing, Mind Mapping/Diagrammes, HTML, Web Development, Multimedia, etc. The expamples of the software being used in her classes at KIS are the Open Office Suite, KompoZer, The GIMP, KTouch, Programming for Kids and Audacity, to name a few.
